About the status of his injured ankle, which will keep him out of practice the next few days but he hopes will improve enough so he can start Saturday’s game vs. CSU, Colt said:
“It’s really sore, pretty beaten up. The black-and-blue is going down. I think I have to rest it up the next couple of days. I think I should be out there moving around on it pretty good by the end of the week.” (HA)
“It’s just a real solid sprain. I pushed it. I shot it up and pushed it, and it’s obviously very swollen today, and very sore. I think if I rest it up the next couple of days I’ll be good to go by Saturday.” (HA)

“If I’m held out, it shouldn’t be a problem. It will be a great time for Tyler Graunke to come in and get some experience. I think I’m going to play but I wouldn’t be surprised if I get pulled early.” (HA)

“I’m going to make him right. I don’t want this to linger. I figure by Thursday he’ll practice. But he’ll play.” (HA)

“He’s a pretty tough hombre.” (HA)
“It was pretty rough for him. That’s his plant foot. But he was determined to tough through it. Your feet are your whole foundation for any athlete who moves around. The ankle probably swelled up a bit, but he was walking OK (this morning when the team arrived home). He’s a pretty tough kid.” (HSB)

“It’s what football is all about. I’ve always prided myself as a tough kid. That’s why I was excited for that game. I thought it would be a great moment to step up and show how tough I was.” (HA)
